Love Being With Loved Ones
It felt like the perfect day to go ice skating, and everyone else at the ice rink seemed to agree.
My brother and I were waiting for the figure skaters to finish their practice, and as we sat I decided to speak with the man next to us.
His name was Willie, and he told me he was watching his daughter, Megan, while she was figure skating.
Willie was from DC like my brother and me, and he was the father of two girls.
His parents were also from Hong Kong, and Willie said he loved to visit them with his family whenever possible.
He also told me that he worked in IT, specifically for the city of Rockville.
Willie explained to me that this primarily entails publishing and updating online maps, which he said was a very frequent process; I found this really interesting.
What brings him joy?
As for his source of joy, Willie said that he simply enjoyed spending time with his friends and family.
I could even tell that he was devoted to his family just by the fact that he was there waiting for Megan to finish skating.
They had just spent Thanksgiving at his sister-in-law’s house, which he said involved a lot of joy.
Willie was a nice man from the moment I sat down with him, so I felt that his source of joy was very in tune with his natural kindness.
